ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to attach to them; the resulting larger, heavier particles settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are very harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by microbes — microbial toxins that mix into indoor air as aerosols — become a major health hazard when they reach the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation in air is based on achieving high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, such as upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health threat in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deepest parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an over-pressurised building.

Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and stubborn cooking and smoking smells.

Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the air.

Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant indoor air that is easy to breathe and in which people feel comfortable.

Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air also for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present, because ozone is produced massively to destroy microbial spores. High ozone concentrations combined with negative ionisation achieve good cleaning results even in porous materials. After air cleaning, the ozonated space is ventilated and residents may return.
