Well-equipped and serviced Transporter offered at auction.

Many works have been carried out over time. I tried to photograph the most recent receipts and services for the listing.

I test-drove the van a couple of times and it was a pleasant surprise to drive. It runs straight, the gearbox shifts smoothly and the drives are intact. There is some turbo or other whistling when cold, but it does not trigger any warning lights or affect performance, nor is there any burning smell. Drive it as-is or restore it to like-new condition.


There are quite a few features for an older panel van, e.g.

Webasto with timer

Air conditioning

Central locking

Tow bar

Rear compartment blower/heating system (original)

Cruise control

Etc...

All of the above worked at least for the test drive.

Additionally some camper equipment has been added: rear compartment ventilation with its own fan & switch, plywood lining and upholstery, side awning, curtain, opening window between the cab and rear compartment, lights, and interior power when connected to an external Defa socket. So you could even sleep in it on the road if needed!


Summer tyres are like new, bought this summer. Winter tyres are rather worn.

The windscreen is new.


The van arrived to us in part-exchange directly after a long-distance trip.

Defects and other observations

On a short test drive we made the following observations:

  • MOT notes: registration plate lights and the gear lever gaiter detached. Windscreen has been replaced.

  • Turbo or something else whistles a little, at least when cold.

  • Winter tyres are weak
