Defects and other observations

Starts and runs normally, petrol and electric systems appear to operate normally until, after a short drive, a warning appears about engine overheating. Unknown whether this is a sensor fault, a real fault, or something else.


A/C blows cold; electric windows, central locking, radio/bluetooth, sat-nav, reversing camera, sunroof, electric tailgate etc. all tested and working. Equipment generally appears to function.

Used as a family car in the Helsinki area and all servicing carried out at the official Bilia dealer.


We drove it here on a test loop of about 10 km when the engine overheating warning appeared. The vehicle was stopped immediately and subsequently delivered to the yard on a tow truck to avoid further damage. Requires investigation, service and repair.


Summer tyres in very good condition, winters also OK. Both on showy alloy wheels.


Coolant is clear — no obvious oil/water mixing. Is there pressure? We did not dare to open the system to check.


The fuel-fired auxiliary heater reportedly does not work.


According to the previous owner the electric motor fan may be faulty. Does not affect driving or make noticeable noise. Not investigated.


The turbo makes a slight noise, the car is otherwise lively — possibly modified/`chipped`? Or just noisy. Not investigated.


After driving a short distance you will see the instrument warning: "Engine overheated, stop engine." The engine was stopped immediately and the vehicle has not been driven or inspected since, so the cause is unknown. It may be simple or complex.


The car can be driven onto a transport trailer, flatbed or loaded by a tow truck.


Sold as a repair project. We do not accept responsibility for existing or as-yet-undiscovered faults — expect the unexpected. It is not a total loss at present: it starts and runs.


We do not recommend driving the car until it has been serviced and repaired.


The car is sold to be repaired. No condition inspection or defect report has been carried out — be prepared for anything.
