The car’s reliability has been tested by Parkano/Kihniö home care since new and it has reached its destinations in all weathers, defying the elements. The Polo has been driven by a single person only, so the other seats are practically unused and, with one-person load, the rest of the vehicle’s mechanical components have been under much less strain and will last longer — exposed only to a fraction of typical wear. There are some minor surface scuffs from use, but these have been addressed and a painter has repaired where necessary. There are, of course, scratches and small rust bubbles visible in the photos included with the listing, but nothing unusual considering the mileage. Based on its condition no one would guess it has over 300,000 km on the clock!

The car has a complete service history, photographed and included in the listing. The most recent service was done just now, so it can be driven with confidence for the next year and the next MOT is not due until 14/07/2028. The timing kit was replaced in February 2023 (212,000 km), so there are plenty of kilometres left (replacement interval 210,000 km / 6 years). The clutch pack was also renewed a little over 30,000 km ago and this model does not have the notorious dual‑mass flywheel.

The equipment level includes everything essential for everyday driving. Notable features include air conditioning, LED daytime running lights, remote central locking, ISOFIX, a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration, tyre pressure monitoring, electric windows and heated seats. Two good sets of wheels are included in the sale (sturdy studded tyres for winter).
