Here’s a Fiat Stilo, a large and spacious estate!


  • Owned by the previous owner for 5 years as a second car; the inspection has now lapsed and should be sorted out quickly!

  • A short test drive was done and it feels like a decent, sound car. The brakes work and there were no unusual rattles. The engine warning light is on and it reports a fault code for the crankshaft position sensor; the rev counter also does not work so I strongly suspect the sensor is faulty. It also limits revs to around 4000 rpm and power is not full. The engine runs as it should and fluids and oils are in place.

  • Tyres for both seasons included: summer tyres are still OK, studded tyres are very good, both on their own rims.

  • Equipment includes e.g. air conditioning, electric windows, remote locking, etc. — the basic features are present.

  • The bodywork and interior are very clean and in good condition. I believe that after replacing the sensor it should pass inspection; the sensor looked to cost €42 at Motonet. As it stands it can be driven for short transfers and was driven into the yard, but repair is recommended at least before long journeys!

- The engine warning light is on and gives a fault code for the crankshaft position sensor; for this reason the rev counter does not work and the car is in limp mode. It can be driven but not at full power and it takes long to start.
