This vintage car, used as a hobby project for just over a year, is now looking for its next home. The M52 engine and automatic gearbox run and shift well.


Work carried out includes:

  • Oil, filters, cabin air filter.

  • Valve cover gasket, spark plugs.

  • Water pump, thermostat.

  • Front bumper repair and paint (spray).

  • Dents and rust spots opened, cleaned, treated and painted around the body (not professionally done, see photos).

  • Sill panel sanded and rust‑proofed (plastic side skirts painted in the body colour included for the next owner to glue on if they don’t want welding work).


Good Nokian studded tyres on wheels – production stamp 2021. The set currently acting as summer tyres are non‑studded tyres from 2006.


There aren’t many notable faults with this car, but it is still a 30‑year‑old vehicle!


Notable issues:

  • Driver’s seat upholstery.

  • Fuel gauge does not work (the low‑fuel warning light still functions). Fault code points to the position sensor on one side of the tank.

  • Service book missing (oil and filters changed in 2025).

  • An oil leak was mentioned at inspection... That claim is unlikely for BMWs. The valve cover gasket seemed to be the worst leak point and this has already been replaced.
