Has been off the road for a couple of years. I lost interest in repairing it myself. The engine is carbon-fouled and emits black smoke from the exhaust. The issue has been investigated but the root cause is unknown. Once the cause is found and fixed, it should become roadworthy again. The car did pass inspection when I had the engine cleaned of carbon.


Faults:

- carbon-fouled engine and appears to run rich, emits a cloud of black smoke

- some bearing squeaks when the engine is cold

- reverse light has stopped working

- crack in the windscreen, has not prevented passing inspection. Crack in the right rear light.

- left mirror is a different shade

- studded tyres worn

- coolant reservoir/hoses leak slightly

- interior needs cleaning

- programmed, does not show fault light


Good points:

- interior in good condition (needs cleaning)

- runs well when not carbon-fouled, power retained

- decent equipment, all buttons intact and working

- summers OK; driven for about 1.5 summers with low mileage
