For sale: a neat Golf for repair.


The engine was rebuilt after the VVT pulley failed; OEM cam pulleys, timing head assembly, water pump, upper seals were renewed and a full service carried out (spark plugs, all filters, oils and fluids). Piston rings and connecting-rod bearings and bolts were also replaced at the same time.


Runs nicely, but stores fault code P001100. Drivable, but in fault mode it will not rev above 3,000 rpm. After clearing the fault codes it runs normally for about 5–10 minutes.


Two good tyres, two keys. A couple of wheel trims are missing.
