ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles in the air to clump and fall out of the breathing zone faster, improving air quality.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial volatile compounds) pose serious health risks when freely inhaled into the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not disperse in air primarily cause harm via spores.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on producing high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times greater than ozone alone; high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, such as upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel into the lower lungs (alveoli) and then into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation combined with negative ionisation removes harmful fine particles from indoor air as well as bacteria, moulds, viruses and various gases.

Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in a positively pressurised building.

Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn food and tobacco odours.

They also remove fine particles, MVOC (microbial volatile organic compounds) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air that is good for people to be in.

Together they provide very clean indoor air for workspaces as well.

Indoor ozonation must not be performed while people are present, because ozone is produced at high concentrations to kill microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation also cleans porous materials effectively. After treatment, the space must be ventilated before occupants return.
