ON IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to clump together; the resulting larger, heavier particles fall out of the breathing zone quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by certain microbes — microbial toxins that mix into indoor air as aerosols — pose a major health risk when they reach the lungs and enter the bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause harm primarily via spores, which produce these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deepest parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an overpressurised building.

Ozone together with negative ionisation produces compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC/MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

Ozonation and negative ionisation give a pleasant, easy‑to‑breathe indoor air and a clean environment where people feel well.

Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air also for workplaces.

Ozonation of indoor air cannot be performed while people are present, because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores.
