Thermal treatment considerably improves the wood's resistance to rot and stabilises it dimensionally, so decking boards, fences and slats retain their original, straight shape.

Thermowood is suitable for all climates, requires little maintenance and does not need surface treatment. It will grey attractively under UV light unless treated with a UV‑protective pigmented oil or similar. Only heat and steam are used in its production, so it is completely non‑toxic
