ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles suspended in the air to attach to them, forming larger, heavier particles that fall quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes and mixed into indoor air as aerosols (= microbial toxins) present a massive health risk if they reach the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that are not mixed into indoor air are harmful mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When the unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation to the lower lungs (alveoli) and from there to the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an airtight building under slight overpressure.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and smoking odours.
