325,000 km driven.

On 15-inch alloys with poor winter tyres. Engine vibrates at speed.

I have driven the car about 5–6,000 km myself and it’s very pleasant to drive; the power seems intact and the gearbox shifts smoothly. If someone values originality, it’s a great classic project. Model is SE and it has a decent level of equipment.

The car is roadworthy and the MOT is valid until Jan 2027.

(321,000 km) Replaced with a new Saab original Garrett turbo, exhaust manifold (same casting as the turbo housing), turbo seals, exhaust manifold gasket; vacuum/crankcase breather hoses replaced/cleaned.

Just serviced (320,000 km): oil and filter changed; engine flushed beforehand and X1R additive added.

Flushed the cooling system and refilled with new coolant. Cleaned breather hoses. Spark plugs changed. Air filter and cabin filter replaced.

Various small jobs.

Timing belt reportedly changed at ~300,000 km in 2019.

Car has been serviced but there is no service book; CarVertical report available.

There is a side noise; I suspect an accessory pulley or belt — it squeaks when revving stationary.

There is surface rust, the driver’s door is the worst. NOT rust-through.

Brakes squeak a little.

Wheel alignment needs adjusting.

Windscreen in poor condition, scratches and a chip but not cracked through.

Driver’s seat has a tear, not severe.

One instrument panel is unlit. Bonnet gas struts are dead.

Timing components should be considered for replacement due to age.

The brake/traction control warning lights have started flashing; may be a sensor or wheel-ring fault. No effect on driving.

When accelerating there is a noise — possibly a driveshaft?

There may be other issues given the car’s age; it’s almost 30 years old, so not sold as new but otherwise in reasonable condition.

Being sold as a second car is being removed from use.
