I have had the vehicle since 2020, used for building work and other hobbies.

Each year some parts have been replaced; patch panels and paint have been added to the load‑bay doors. The engine was replaced at a workshop due to a small installation fault. The engine has done about 90,000 km less than the odometer shows. Ancillary units, etc. are from the old engine.

Defects and other observations

Defect list / notes:

Rust
Occasionally shows a boost‑pressure fault and goes into limp mode. Clears after restarting. Suspected causes: turbo nearing end of life, a fault in the vacuum system, or a clogged diesel particulate filter. For example, it did not occur at all this past winter, although driving has mostly been light commuting.
Air conditioning does not work. Likely a leak in the system and the compressor may be faulty. Last worked in summer 2023 when I replaced the evaporator and serviced the system.
Interior temperature actuator motor does not work. It switches only between extremes, so only hot or cold is available. Direct fresh‑air vents on the dashboard compensate for this in the meantime.
Central locking works, but the vehicle does not detect the driver door being opened. If only the driver door is opened and nothing else is done (e.g. the key is not put into the ignition), the vehicle will lock the doors after a while. Likely a wiring harness fault.
Slight oil weep from the base of the crankcase ventilation and possibly from the base of the filter housing. Does not leave a puddle; I haven’t cleaned anything for the MOT, nor added oil to the engine.
Brake pad sensors are broken, which triggers a warning on the dash.
Right rear mudflap detached.
Timing assembly (belt, pulleys and water pump) replaced in 2020 and has done 74,000 km since, so it is approaching replacement interval.
Oils and filters last changed in September 2024 at 331,000 km (engine oil, engine filter and fuel filter).
