XJ 750 Seca built in scrambler style. Bought as a project and sold as a project.


Started this year but not ridden. Last year ridden for a couple of short runs. When it starts it is pleasant to ride—excellent on gravel roads and not bad on tarmac either.


Includes a box of bits and a Haynes repair manual.


Work carried out in the past couple of years:

  • Electrical system checked

  • Repair of the notorious starter

  • Replacement of engine gaskets

  • Battery renewed

Defects and other observations

  • The left mirror fell off during rides last summer.

  • The speedometer shows incorrect readings

  • The battery may need replacing (I am charging it now to see if it holds charge)

  • Carburettor settings definitely need tuning

  • Front fork oil seal is leaking and gaiters must be replaced.

  • Drips oil from somewhere.

  • Paintwork is not in great condition

  • Rear tyre worn
