Defects and other observations

Before listing the car for sale we carried out a test drive and condition assessment, during which we made the following observations:


  • The car has several age- and mileage‑related faults: a power steering fluid leak, the right front shock absorber is leaking and the ABS ring on the left front wheel is broken. The stability control warning light is illuminated on the dash and the reversing sensors do not work. The brakes engage relatively late and there is a slight dragging noise while driving. The radio works intermittently due to a contact fault, and the rear window wiper is not functioning. Oil has occasionally needed topping up between services.

  • On the test drive the car started well, tracked straight and changed gears smoothly. The engine runs normally and the suspension does not knock. In addition the specification is good and the car is tidy for its age, making this a good project or everyday car with minor repairs.
