ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause lightweight, positively charged particles in the air to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone, as the larger heavier particles settle quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial toxins) mixed into the air as aerosols can cause severe health damage when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause health harm mainly via spores, which are the carriers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on achieving high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deep lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an over‑pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin smells, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant, easy‑to‑breathe indoor air — a clean space in which people feel comfortable.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together provide very clean indoor air also for workspaces.

Ozonation of indoor air cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced into the space in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The combination of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves thorough cleaning even of porous materials. After treatment the space should be ventilated before occupants return.
