Thermowood is suitable for all climates, requires little maintenance and does not require surface treatment. If left untreated it will grey nicely under the sun's UV light, unless treated with a UV-protective pigmented oil or similar. Only heat and steam are used in its manufacture, so it is completely non-toxic
