Description of the item:

We are auctioning a well-used workhorse that came to us in part-exchange! The Mercedes was driven here from Kuopio but is sold for repair, as during our test drive there were some starting issues and the vehicle could stall on the test drive, although it always restarted. The engine still runs nicely, and although it would not win any beauty contests, the van still has miles left in it!

This is a Finnish vehicle, first registered and put into use on 26 September 2005. It can be driven with a C1 driving licence and is registered for 5 people. The vehicle has had 7 owners plus dealer transfers; the last owner had it for about 5 years. The sale includes 2 tyres and 2 rims. NOTE (3 tyres and 3 rims are shown in the pictures, but only the tyres under the vehicle and one spare tyre and rim carried in the vehicle are included in the sale). Some tread remains, but the winter tyres have largely lost their studs. Two keys are included and at least one of them still has working remote controls.

Defects and other observations

During a short test/inspection we made the following observations:

The vehicle was driven from Kuopio to Vantaa by the previous owner and we also took it for a test drive. On starting, the engine sounded normal and the gearbox behaved normally during the test drive.

The side door is acting up and does not open or close properly. The windscreen is also cracked, and we have not checked or tested the functionality of all equipment.

Reverse gear was noted and worked.

Some additional noises were heard from the vehicle; it is unknown whether these originate from electrical components or similar.

If the vehicle will not start, pressing the fuse panel in the driver's footwell a few times has, according to the customer, always made the vehicle start; we have also observed this. According to the previous owner this is some kind of moisture fault.

The item has not been technically inspected by us and its condition has not been fully tested. There may be hidden defects that we have not noticed. The item can be inspected before making a binding bid. Please arrange a viewing in advance.
