Generator output and number of ozone plates and power supplies

Ion production requires an ioniser component inside the unit. Ozone plates do not produce ions.

ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to clump together; the resulting larger, heavier particles then settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes — microbe toxins that become airborne as aerosols — pose a major health risk if they reach the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavier microbe toxins that do not become airborne as easily cause harm mainly via spores that carry those toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative air ionisation relies on high concentrations.

When a device produces both ozone and negative ions, the effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deep lungs (alveoli) and then into the bloodstream, causing serious health issues in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation work especially effectively in a building with positive pressure.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together create compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and persistent cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant, breathable indoor air; such a clean environment is good for people to be in.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air suitable for workplaces.

Ozonation of indoor air cannot be carried out while people are present, because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores.
