ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged particles in the air, causing them to combine into larger, heavier molecules that quickly fall out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes and dispersed as aerosols into indoor air (microbial toxins) pose a major health risk if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Non-dispersed heavy microbial toxins cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When the device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, for example upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health threat in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation to the deep lungs (alveoli) and can enter the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergy.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in an over-pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (microbial volatile organic compounds) and VOCs.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air where people feel comfortable.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in large amounts to destroy microbial spores.
