For sale: Renault Safrane -95 with 2.2 J7T engine (107 hp) and manual gearbox.

This was Renault's flagship model of its time and the ride is accordingly.

This particular car is a basic specification model with fewer features. Electric mirrors, electric front windows, rear windows are manual, and central locking with remote.


The car has been kept tidy and well maintained. I am the second owner in Finland; it was imported from Germany to Finland in the early 2000s. When I acquired it it had stood unused since about 2014 and I have now restored it to good running condition. Service books and similar documents are available.

Only the summer tyre set is included in the sale, i.e. one set of summer tyres.


Work carried out now for inspection and after long storage:

  • Basic oil service for engine and gearbox.

  • Coolant replacement.

  • Filters.

  • Ignition parts: spark plugs and distributor rotor.

  • Timing belt and tensioner, plus accessory belts.

  • Brakes renewed: discs and pads on all corners.

  • Rear wheel bearings replaced.

  • Front control arms and driver's lower ball joint replaced.

  • Steering rack boots replaced.

  • New battery and bulbs.

  • New tyre sets for summer and winter.


Technically the car now runs faultlessly and has been returned to the road.

As a 31‑year‑old car it naturally has scratches and a few dents, visible in the pictures.

Some paint has come off in places on the arches and bumper.

The car appears to have been well zinc‑coated, as there is practically no rust anywhere.

Undercarriage is very good and in solid condition.
