This example has had the same owner from new on the west coast of Ostrobothnia.

The EGR was renewed in April 2026 at Auto‑Forum.

Our driver drove the car over 300 km without issues; the engine warning light was on but the car ran normally and power was intact. When the car arrived at our premises we read the fault codes; it showed P0016, which refers to the crankshaft position sensor, and the diagnostic tool indicates the timing chain may have stretched. The fault code was cleared and we drove nearly 200 km without the light coming back on. Now the engine light had returned and was cleared again. It will probably reappear soon.

We also believe the timing chain has slackened/stretched, as there is an indistinct noise at idle; when driving and at higher revs the engine sounds normal. (See video of the idle noise)

On the test drive the car felt very good to drive: steering, chassis, brakes, gearbox, clutch etc. all feel excellent and the engine pulls well.

It also runs very economically for a car of this size — long‑term consumption only 5.0 L/100 km!

I believe this can be an excellent car for a long time if the timing chain is replaced, or you may drive it as‑is but there is a risk of a break and then more extensive damage.
