ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged airborne particles and cause them to clump together into larger, heavier particles that settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes, which mix into indoor air as aerosols, form a significant health hazard when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air generally cause harm only via spores, which are the carriers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the lower lungs (alveoli) and enter the bloodstream, causing serious health issues in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in a positively pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that effectively remove microbial spores and various odours such as sewer gases, smoke, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant indoor air that is easy to breathe and comfortable to occupy.

    Together they also create very clean indoor air for workplaces.

Ozonation cannot be performed while people are present, because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. With high ozone concentrations and negative ionisation the cleaning effect reaches porous materials. After treatment the area should be ventilated before occupants return.
