Land Rover Regular Station Wagon, 1981, Nurmijärvi

Exceptionally well preserved, original Finnish car. This Marine Blue Safari model is a genuine "survivor" that has remained in astonishing original condition over the decades. The car is museum-registered and its history is fully documented. The car was sold new in May 1981. It had the same owner for 34 years (1984–2018), 23 of which (1995–2018) were spent protected in a dry garage.

Thanks to long-term careful storage and meticulous care the odometer shows only 98,000 km. Structurally the condition is excellent and entirely free of welding repairs. The chassis, critical bulkhead and rear cross-member are all in superb original condition. The paintwork is largely the factory-original Marine Blue. The front seats and headlining have been renewed, while the rear seats are completely original. The mechanicals have been serviced and restored as appropriate. The original 2.25-litre diesel engine has been overhauled (including a new diesel pump and injectors). Fitted with a Roamerdrive overdrive, which makes motorway driving considerably more pleasant. The car underwent extensive servicing in autumn 2025 before winter storage, when all fluids, oils and filters were changed. The original Safari twin roof is easily removable, converting the car into a 7-seat open vehicle. Included are the original owner's manual and a comprehensive folder of documents covering the car's history. The next inspection is in August 2029; this is a truly wonderful example preserved with great patina.

The car is located in Klaukkala (Nurmijärvi) with good transport links, about 25 minutes from Helsinki city centre and roughly 15 minutes from Ring III. Viewings by appointment.
