ON IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to agglomerate by attaching to them, forming larger and heavier particles that settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes, dispersed as aerosols into indoor air (= microbial VOCs), form a significant health hazard when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Heavier microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the carriers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When the device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effect is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel into the lower parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly well in slightly pressurised buildings.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, such as sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air suitable for occupancy.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed if people are present, because ozone is produced in large quantities to destroy microbial spores.
