ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged airborne particles, forming larger heavier molecules that quickly settle out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial toxins) mixed as aerosols into indoor air form serious health hazards if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins not mixed into indoor air generally cause harm only via spores, which produce these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative air ionisation is based on achieving high concentrations.

When the device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstered furniture and bedding.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation are particularly effective in a building under positive pressure.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and ingrained cooking and tobacco smells.
