Mercedes-Benz E 500, 2003, Tuusula

This car was originally bought in 2003 by a medical centre in Turku. It was purchased from an estate whose late owner I knew well. It is not known whether there were any owners between the original and the last owner.

The photos include invoices for servicing from 2013 onwards. The car has been very well maintained.

This spring the car has also been serviced and repaired as follows:

- valve cover gaskets

- breather pipe

- battery

- radiator and fluids

- condenser pipes

- transmission oil

- rear brake pipe and brake fluid

- headlight restoration/polishing

- repair and paint of minor rust damage at the ends of the sills, wheel arch lips and the lower edge of the driver’s door, and repair/paint scratches on the lower edges of bumpers and doors

- exhaust hanger repair

- interior cleaning

- steam cleaning of the engine bay and other areas

- bonnet star

- new number plates.

Known defects:

- keyless central locking on the driver’s door does not work

- reverse parking sensors do not work

- sunroof operation works but is slightly intermittent

- small stone chips on the bonnet

- a couple of small stone chips in the windscreen

- a few small paint blemishes on the roof between the windscreen and the sunroof

- the estate could not find the original service book and owner’s manual.

I believe the car is a very good example but it still needs a little work.
