ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to attach to them, forming larger heavier molecules that quickly fall out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes, mixed into indoor air as aerosols (= microbial toxins), cause serious health hazards when they reach the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation relies on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation to the lower lungs (alveoli) and then into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergy.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy‑to‑breathe indoor air; people feel comfortable in such a clean space.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed if people are present, because ozone is produced in large quantities to destroy microbial spores.
