ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles in the air to clump together; the larger, heavier particles then settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial toxins) mixed as aerosols into indoor air can cause significant health hazards when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a device produces both ozone and negative ions, its effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deep lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems beyond asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an over-pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxin odours, ingrained cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (microbial volatile organic compound) and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation make a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; a clean space is comfortable to be in.
