These do not yet have a DPF canister, so no worries about that.


Work carried out on the car:

-Last scheduled service 100 km ago: using Castrol oils (oils and filters: oil, air, cabin, fuel; and air conditioning service).

-Timing drive overhaul at 403,000 km

-Propshaft centre bearing + both CV joints at 397,000 km (receipt available)

-Crankshaft pulley at 383,000 km

-Water pump, thermostat and EGR thermostat at 383,000 km

-Clutch and flywheel at 346,000 km (receipt available)


Also replaced roughly 15,000 km ago:


-Glow plugs + relay; intake manifold cleaned of carbon. It was noted that the intake manifold flaps had already been removed.

-Bonnet release cable + windscreen wiper mechanism

-Boot release button

Defects and other observations

-Poor cold starting; throws a glow‑plug fault code, but the glow plugs and relay have been replaced. I suspect injectors or the glow‑plug wiring. Starts fine when warm.

-Coolant leaks from the hose‑heater’s heating element; requires a new heating element or removal of the hose heater.

-Paint has blemishes in places, but overall appears tidy.
