ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to agglomerate, forming larger and heavier particles that fall out of the breathing zone quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds that are harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by microbes and dispersed as aerosols form a significant health risk if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy micro-toxins that do not mix into air pose a risk mainly via spores, which carry these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation relies on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions alongside ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials like upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.
