The Galaxy Watch5 opens new training modes, features and watch faces. Recovery programmes provide valuable data on your fluid balance, showing how much fluid has been lost as sweat and how much you should drink.

Sleep and recovery tracking is now more accurate. Watch5 watches can automatically turn off a TV connected to your SmartThings network when the wearer falls asleep. On top of this, there are many new watch faces that you can match with new strap colour schemes.

Samsung Watch5 is a comprehensive sports companion

In addition, the Watch5 includes a BIA sensor that measures body composition, blood pressure and ECG. ECG and blood pressure measurement require a Galaxy smartphone running Android 7.0 or later.

The Watch5’s BIA sensor gives you easy-to-read values for body fat percentage, muscle mass, body water, basal metabolic rate (BMR) and BMI, allowing you to see how activity affects, for example, increased muscle mass. LTE models require activation of the watch eSIM with your operator to use the 4G connection. The watch works via normal Bluetooth without an eSIM, but if you want to call, receive messages and use the internet without your phone, you must activate the eSIM.
