This fairly well-driven Passat is ready for a new owner. The car arrived to us in part‑exchange directly from daily use. Next MOT is valid until September 2026.


The paint is starting to flake and the wheel arches and door handles are fairly rusty and will require repainting. The car was test‑driven from Kaarina to Espoo and was found to be driveable. The brakes make a fairly loud grinding noise and will likely need replacing.


Other known faults are the airbag warning light being on and the Webasto auxiliary heater not working. It has also been noted that the engine warning light comes on intermittently, which, according to the previous owner, is caused by an electric auxiliary water pump.

Defects and other observations

The car was test‑driven to us from Kaarina to Espoo. Technically the car felt to be operating normally and the driving feel was normal. Engine power appeared intact and there were no misfires. The car runs straight and does not pull. During the test drive the brakes were heard to make a loud grinding noise and we suspect worn brake pads. The brake discs appear to be in good visual condition.

All controls were tested and found to work. The air conditioning works and blows cold.
We could not get the Webasto to work.
