For sale: top machinist and engine-shop set: a wooden case containing four three-point internal micrometers and two separate, very valuable setting rings.

With this set you can measure the internal diameters of larger cylinders, bearings and pipes very accurately over the 100–200 mm range. The three-point measurement centres the tool automatically in the bore, ensuring a precise result. The heavy setting rings included allow accurate checking and zeroing of the micrometers. Individually precision-ground setting rings are very valuable when new.

The lot includes (sold as one item):

• 4 × Three-point internal micrometers (range 100–200 mm): Supplied in their original wooden case.

• Extension rod: Included in the case for measuring deeper bores.

• Setting ring 1: 125 mm

• Setting ring 2: 174.993 mm (precision-ground calibration standard, exact measurement engraved on the ring)

Condition and notes: Used professional-grade precision tools. Items are sold in the condition and with the accessories shown in the listing photos. The heavy setting rings are supplied outside the box because they were obtained separately for calibrating the tools.
