Up for auction: Jaguar XJS 4.0 (1993) – an exceptionally well-preserved museum-class classic / Classic Data 1-

Offered is a rare and representative Jaguar XJS that exemplifies classic British grand tourer thinking at its best. This example has just been assessed by Classic Data and received a condition rating of 1-, indicating very high overall condition.

The XJS was originally introduced as the successor to the legendary E-Type, and a long development led to the facelift versions of the early 1990s. The 1991 update brought a modernised appearance, improved finish and technical updates that make these models noticeably more user-friendly, reliable and generally more desirable than earlier versions.

This 1993 car is fitted with the 4.0-litre six-cylinder AJ6 engine, known for its reliability, smooth running and relatively low maintenance. It delivers an effortless and pleasant driving experience, suitable for both hobby use and longer journeys.
