This is a slightly better lathe than most.... The lathe has been used for decades as a hobby machine. A skilled user can cut threads and do other demanding jobs. The lathe is in good condition; the guides are not worn — see pictures — and there is no more play than normal. As you can see from the photos, the lathe is very heavy-duty yet still compact enough for many uses. Included are the hobby lathe tools we use. The hydraulic pump is noisy, so it should work (has not been used).

The lathe weighs around 1.5 tonnes. Collection requires a crane lorry or a trailer and some imagination. We do not have any lifting equipment available to help with loading.

Defects and other observations

Normal wear and patina from age. In good technical condition. No particular wear or play in the guides. It is not a worn-out machine.
