ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone more quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes — microbial toxins — mixed into the indoor air as aerosols cause major health risks if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavier microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative air ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces both ozone and negative ions, effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air into the deep lungs (alveoli) and from there into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation work especially effectively in a pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and stubborn cooking and tobacco smells.

    Ozone and negative air ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC/MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative air ionisation produce a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; such a clean space is good for people.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores.
