Was with the previous owner on an island, hence a grubby appearance.


Good points: Starts immediately with the button and runs cleanly.

On a test ride it moved forwards and backwards well with no extra knocks or noises. Battery recently replaced. Plastic belly pan.

Could not fully test the 4WD, but when engaged the 4WD indicator lights up on the dash and the engagement motor can be heard at the front.


Notes:

The winch is mounted at the front but does not work from the switch.

When given full throttle it starts to choke. Has been left outdoors unused for almost a year (carburettor cleaning?).

There was the usual oil seepage on the engine for an older quad. It does not drip oil underneath, however.

The speedometer did not rise as speed increased.

At least the left front drive-shaft boot is flattened but no visible splits were noticed.


So there is some tinkering to do, but likely with a little work you can get the 4WD quad running again.
