Wurlitzer 1250 jukebox. Exact condition unknown. There is power and the stylus can be moved onto the platter and it starts to turn, but playback on a record has not been tested further. Restoration will certainly be needed, as the photos also show. Spare parts are available from specialist dealers.

"The Wurlitzer 1250  jukebox was produced by the Wurlitzer Company in 1950.  It features a decorative cabinet with colorful accents and chrome pilasters. It can hold and play 48 selections.

This year marked the first year of the updated simplex mechanism. It played both sides of 24 records and could play 78, 45, 33 rpm. It was touted as “Revolutionary” but was actually a bandaid update to the same mechanism they used since 1934.

Designed to be used in public places, the Wurlitzer 1250 jukebox features a coin mechanism that accepts nickels, dimes or quarters, allowing users to pay for their song selection. It has an electromagnetic mechanism for song selection. It allows users to make their song choice by using a button or push-button selector system.

Overall, the Wurlitzer 1250 jukebox was part of the Wurlitzer line of jukeboxes from the 1940s. While it was not as popular as other models in this era, it still holds value and appeal to collectors today who appreciate vintage jukeboxes from the late 1940s and early 50s."

Items must be collected within one week of the auction ending; after that we charge a storage fee of €50 per day, and the lot will be considered cancelled if charges exceed the hammer price.
