ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone as larger, heavier molecules.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial toxins) mixed into indoor air as aerosols pose serious health risks when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in a building with slight positive pressure.
