This is the factory-developed DXL based on the Tunturi Super Sport (a "more street-motorcycle-like" moped); it has a different instrument cluster, headlamp, side and rear fairings, seat, etc.

This DX is the L-model (the most expensive), meaning it left the factory with Grimeca aluminium rims rather than spoked rims as on the cheaper model.


This particular Tunturi is very well preserved; it is still in its original paint and all decals are intact in place.

Its good condition has been helped by the fact it has been kept in a warm garage, unused, for more than ten years.

There is still a dash of old petrol in the tank, so the moped was not attempted to be started.

Sitting on it we tested ("cold types") that the shock absorbers and brakes work front and rear, the seat is completely intact, there is a spark, etc.

So the DXL needs fresh fuel in the tank and the engine oil should be changed; the chains should also be lubricated before summer riding.

The model year has been confirmed as 1983 and the original engine fitted at the factory is still in place.

It is a first-year model, when this Tunturi variant began production.¤¤

This colour was only used for one year, 1983.


It is in original condition, so it should pass museum inspection if you want to register the moped as a museum vehicle.


Once sold the moped must be collected immediately in April; the buyer will call to arrange collection.

Garage storage is available only for April!
