This is a factory-developed DXL from the Tunturi Super Sport (a more ‘street motorcycle’-style moped): it has a different instrument cluster, headlamp, side and rear panels, saddle, etc.

This DXL is the L-model (the most expensive), meaning it left the factory with Grimeca aluminium rims rather than spoked wheels found on the cheaper model.

This particular Tunturi is very well preserved; it is still in its original paint and all stickers are intact.

Its good condition is partly because the moped has been kept in a warm garage, unused, for more than ten years.

There is still a splash of old petrol in the tank, so we did not attempt to start it.

By sitting on it (a quick test) we checked that the shock absorbers and brakes work at both ends, the seat is completely intact, it produces a spark, etc.

The DXL therefore needs fresh petrol in the tank; the engine oil should be changed and the chains lubricated before summer riding.
