Completely knackered V50 — for repair or straight to be a farm/field car! Despite everything, it has been in daily use and can be driven to its new home under its own power.


  • MOT valid for just over a month

  • Good studded winter tyres

  • "Summer tyres" are junk

  • Engine warning light is on; previous owner reports a DPF problem for some time

  • Entire engine bay covered in soot — it has smoked quite a lot; even the front edge of the bonnet is sooty

  • Engine is pushing oil out; engine oily all over

  • Left front corner crashed and patched together by owner

  • Hole in the left front bumper. Clearly melted, likely related to unusual events in the engine bay

  • Driver's rear corner makes a terrible clunk when driving; previous owner says the shock top mount is detached

  • Apparently tape repairs on the charge pipe or similar

  • Strong exhaust smell in the cabin

  • Surprisingly starts well, but the injectors "sputter", of course!
