When we began designing log saunas, our aim was to capture the authentic Finnish sauna atmosphere and make sauna use easy. We want to offer saunas for different needs, and the Traditional log sauna is especially for those who want a gentle backyard sauna steam at lower cost. The Traditional log sauna is straightforward – it has sturdy basic benches and an excellent Harvia heater with a glass door. From the sauna you can step out onto a small terrace to cool off, and when your toes start to feel the chill, you simply turn and head back to the benches waiting just inside the door. Just add more wood to the fire, listen to the hypnotic hiss of the wood-fired stove and enjoy the fine steam. There is always something magical about sauna bathing in the yard. Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s quality saunas are built to feel spacious while using space compactly. The Traditional log sauna with front terrace is just the right size for 3–5 people. The heart of this small log sauna is the Harvia M3 heater with a glass door. The glass door creates atmospheric firelight in the sauna, especially in autumn and winter. Add the integrated water tank to the heater at order and you’ll have warm wash water for bathers, so a shower isn’t required for basic washing. The sauna’s highest point is nearly 2.5 metres and the sauna area is just over 4 square metres. A sturdy and safe chimney kit is naturally included. Always use fire carefully and responsibly.

As an accessory, the Sauna-Seppo wash-water filter removes worries about dirty wash water: filtered wash water may be released back to nature and you avoid environmental fines from building control.

Genuinely built from logs

We manufacture the Traditional log sauna with front terrace from fine Finnish 45 x 145 mm spruce logs. Wood is always a warm and ecological choice. The sauna has two-level spruce benches and two windows (one in the door) to bring light into the sauna. The windows are high-quality aluminium-framed insulated double-glazed units that keep the heat inside.

We manufacture the foundation packs from high-quality pressure‑treated wood known for its durability and longevity. Pressure‑treated wood protects the foundations from moisture, rot and pests, ensuring your sauna stands firmly and safely for decades. Choosing a ready foundation pack saves time, effort and stress!

You’ll be assembling soon!

We are happy to deliver the complete package to your home yard and you do not need a lifting device if you choose delivery by HIAB truck. The package includes eaves boards, a complete black roll roofing set, roofing nails, a lockable external door with fittings and terrace floorboards. Assembly instructions and building-permit drawings can be sent to you in advance on request so that when the delivery arrives you can start preparing and assembling your new handsome backyard sauna for use. You will need a drill, screwdriver, hammer, saw, tape measure, pencil and some calm enthusiasm for the assembly work. Always read the instructions carefully before starting each work stage.
