Novart kitchen Horisontti with island, fitted with new Miele appliances, Stala sink and Oras tap (display model). In this kitchen the eye rests on a calm, stylish whole. The handleless Horisontti door (shade Huurre) creates a clean look, softened by an oak-toned open shelf and with the island lighting as an eye-catcher. Black appliances and sink add the right amount of contrast and a modern touch.

The island brings everyday luxury. Ample cabinet space keeps things organised effortlessly. An ideal working area makes both cooking and serving easier. The island houses an induction hob with extractor, dishwasher and sink/tap. The tall-unit area contains integrated refrigeration, two different ovens at ergonomic height and a vacuum drawer! In addition to traditional storage solutions this model includes a breakfast cabinet: "The breakfast cabinet provides extra storage and functionality to the kitchen. It can hold breakfast items, crockery and small appliances. A power socket and lighting can also be fitted."

Miele Vacuum Drawer EVS7010

The Miele vacuum drawer gently vacuum-packs food with the right vacuum strength. The 14 cm-high, handle-free unit integrates with other Miele appliances. Vacuum packing is useful for long-term storage, space saving, marinating, portioning and sous-vide cooking. Compatible with vacuum bags and jars with screw lids. Easy operation via touch controls on the front panel. The drawer opens fully with Push2Open and telescopic rails. Tested for up to 20 years of domestic use.

Versatile use Vacuuming saves space in the freezer and significantly extends the shelf life of fresh foods by removing air, preventing microbial growth and mould. It also enables accurate portioning. Marinades penetrate more evenly in vacuum bags, giving faster, better results. The vacuum drawer can seal jars, screw-top pots and vacuum-safe plastic or steel containers up to 250 x 350 mm and max. 80 mm high.

Sous-vide cooking Foods intended for low-temperature, long-time sous-vide cooking should be vacuum-packed first. Sous-vide keeps the desired internal temperature stable and cooks evenly. Use heat-resistant vacuum bags.
