Renault Megane, 2007, Liminka

Neat and handy estate with a recently replaced clutch!

Used as a daily car until the turn of the year, after which it has been standing in the yard as a second vehicle.

Drives well and stable. No rattles or known major faults. Regularly serviced while in my ownership and repaired as needed.

A few notes:

- The bonnet does not open normally; it releases by a cable at the front. Visible in the photos. The cable has just been checked and is secure and works.

- Both front wings have been patched with tape. Cosmetic only and does not affect MOT notes.

- There is some kind of wiring fault in the left-side stalk, which causes the cruise control to drop out when the indicator is used. Mainly affects motorway driving, but I have not experienced it as a practical problem.

- Slight oil leak. Just under 4 litres consumed in the last 15,000 km. (Likely leaking from the valve cover/camshaft bearing housing.)

- Two sets of tyres: studded winter tyres OK, but the summer tyres need replacing.

- Two keys: one requires support by hand for the car to start. It still works. The other works perfectly.

- One front fog light has been bumped and the lens is cracked; there is a dent under the bumper below it.

- Fan setting 4 does not work. Heating and cooling are, however, very effective on setting 3. Air conditioning works.

Extensive maintenance carried out in recent years. For example, ball joints, wheel bearings and other wear parts replaced within the last couple of years.

- Clutch + auxiliary belt and tensioner replaced May 2025

- Latest scheduled service May 2025

- Timing set June 2021

- Next inspection 7 August 2026

The original service book is not available, but there is a large stack of receipts up to 2020.
