There is a small oil leak from the engine. It does not prevent driving, but it uses a little oil.

A handsome, well-preserved forty-year-old Audi 80. The previous owner started an engine rebuild five years ago and bought new gaskets, bearings, piston rings, etc. It was left unfinished due to lack of time. On the body I only fitted large mudflaps, as was common on cars of that era.

I had the cylinder head machined, fitted new gaskets, lapped the valves, renewed stud bolts to the water connections, etc. Cleaned the underside of rust, new bearings on the connecting rods, all oil seals; I also replaced the gear selector seal that was noted at the inspection.

Timing set with a dial, new original front springs, front brake shields, right front wheel bearing.

Interior light renewed (it was missing), purchased floor mats (Audi 100 type). Tailgate struts, right front headlamp including indicator, and a trim list over the headlamp. I removed the instrument cluster completely and had to take parts out as not all functions worked; the connector behind the cluster did receive all signals, but the circuit foil and some gauges were partly damaged. The last photo shows the instrument readings at the time of change. The heating control panel lights have also been repaired, as well as some control levers. The interior is tidy; the previous owner had stitched one area, which was done well.

The odometer has now dropped significantly — the actual reading is just over 380,000 km, but it now shows 149,000 km. New battery; fitted with studless winter tyres on 17" alloy wheels.

The car is good to drive, as Audis of that time were. A full cover (Biltema) is included; if the price worries you, tell me your offer.
