ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air affect light, positively charged airborne particles by attaching to them, forming larger, heavier molecules that quickly fall out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are very harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes, mixing into indoor air as aerosols (= microbial toxins), form a significant health hazard when they enter the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause health harm primarily via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation of air is based on high concentrations.

When the device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better compared with ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, for example upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health threat in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation into the deep lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly well in a positively pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation of air also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds).

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant indoor air that is easy to breathe and in which people feel comfortable.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together provide very clean indoor air also for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed if people are present, because ozone is produced in large quantities to destroy microbial spores. High ozone concentration together with negative ionisation achieves good cleaning results even in porous materials.
