As you have probably noticed, fuel prices are shocking! Buy this car and those worries disappear — you will save a significant amount on every gas fill-up. Compared to petrol, the current effective price with gas is like filling petrol at €0.89 per litre!!

Gas cars like this are currently the most economical for long-distance driving. And if you worry about going to Europe, that’s not a problem — this car has a normal petrol tank capacity of a generous 75 litres, so you won't run out of fuel mid-journey.

As you can see, this Volvo V70 looks great and is well equipped.

We decided to buy it even though it had front-end/chassis damage. The previous owner had repaired and updated the front grille to the 2016 model style.

He also fitted R-Design equipment — all trim panels, steering wheel, seats and mirror covers are R-Design — and had fitted XC60 front brakes for assured stopping power. Stiffer rear shock absorbers were fitted because the gas tank adds weight to the rear and standard shocks tend not to cope.

The spring before last my husband drove into a snowbank in a roundabout and the front grille was damaged — it has been replaced. The collision also led to replacement of the steering rack and power steering unit, and the tracking was adjusted afterwards. So many parts are new; you can be confident that costly items which would have needed replacement later have already been done.

The car was imported from Sweden to Finland in 2017 and we bought it in spring 2020. It does not have a complete service book, but all our service entries and receipts are kept. The timing belt, water pump, tensioner and accessory belt were replaced on 5 September 2023 — the odometer then read 226,578 km.

The summer tyres will last another summer or two, depending on mileage.

The winter tyres were used only for the last winter — effectively almost new.
